Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever a visitor reads a page, uses a search tool, or otherwise accesses St. Clair County Criminal History. Continued use signals acceptance. A person who does not agree must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. St. Clair County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions. This is not a consumer reporting agency or private investigation firm. Its role is limited to locating criminal-record resources in St. Clair County, Missouri.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not keep official records, retrieve them, perform an agency background check, or submit a filing for a visitor.

Its content identifies custodians of St. Clair County records, including the sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is allowed only if the visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked tool may be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Missouri places added limits on misuse of Missouri Sex Offender Registry data, and conduct aimed at a listed person may carry criminal consequences. Registry access supports public safety awareness, not confrontation, vigilantism, or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit files, or official background checks. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for regulated screening. A visitor must not use site content or linked results to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A lawful regulated check must come from an authorized FCRA-compliant provider or the appropriate official Missouri channel.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about St. Clair County criminal records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can assess how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

All content is offered "as is," without a promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, closures, and expungements can change a record after publication. Gaps and delays may occur. Nothing published here is an official statement from a sheriff, court, or other agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government sites, court portals, legal resources, and outside services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for a destination's availability, fees, content, or data practices. Its own terms apply after a visitor leaves this website.

8. Intellectual Property

St. Clair County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, modifying, distributing, or making derivative use of that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damage arising from use of this site, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold us harmless from claims or demands caused by that visitor's use or breach of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms become effective when the new version is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective. The affected text will be narrowed only as much as needed for enforcement.
